Exmouth Location

As a family we have always had roots in Devon, having lived in Exmouth for a large period of time. Not only was our uncle the Catholic priest in Budleigh Salterton, but we have also spent a lot of time in the local area.

Our first store opened in Sidmouth in May 2019, with our second store opening a few months later in August 2019 and the third Coastline Mobility store opening in Exmouth in September 2020. However, our Exmouth shop was due to open back in March of 2020 but faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The shop needed a complete renovation, from flooring, wiring and plumbing to replacing the shop frontage. As a result of the pandemic forcing so many businesses to shut down everything was delayed, with the biggest delay being windows, as glass manufacturers where all shut. We wanted all of our stores to be in keeping with the current design we have so Exmouth needed a lot of work to bring it to that standard.

As this is our flagship store attention to detail was very important, as not only did we want people to feel comfortable and at home in our stores but we also wanted a certain 'wow' factor. A static boot hoist display was to be the store's focal point and this needed to be planned in during the renovation process. We wanted to put a car boot up against the wall to demonstrate boot hoists and how to get scooters in and out of the back of the car, and to get the car boot into the store we needed to get it in and put up before the shop’s exterior walls and windows were put up.

Due to Exmouth being such a large central store, we stock a larger variety of products as it has so much more floor space. We have a full range of scooters, chairs, rollators, wheelchairs and a good selection of small aids available. So please don't hesitate to get in touch!
